Introduction to Beekeeping Class

Our Introduction to Beekeeping class will give new or beginner beekeepers a solid foundation to start or continue their beekeeping journey. Ryan Halley has been managing bees in the Texas Hill Country for several years and holds an advanced certification in the Texas Master Beekeepers Program. This class is limited to 8 students and includes academic instruction, as well as hands on in a variety of hive types with live bees. We will cover a brief history of beekeeping, the variety of bees within a hive, the various life cycles, and modern management practices depending on the beekeeper’s goals.
